Sospel hosted this weekend the unmissable stage of the Urge 1001 Enduro Tour, with the second edition of the Bévérally.
An enduro rally of 1 and a half days (1 loop on saturday afternoon and 2 loops on sunday) on incredible trails. During two days, Julien Camellini, former European downhill champion, and Nicolas Vouilloz, of Team Lapierre Gravity Republic, fought a tough battle. Julien Camellini took the lead of the race with 15 seconds ahead of Nico on the SP1. Then began a race against time for Nico who caught up and took the lead of the race at the end of the SP4 while Julien Camellini fell. We thought Nico’s victory was guaranteed but it was without counting on bad luck. Unfortunately, a sharp stone burst his rear tire, forcing him to give up. Then Julien Camellini took the lead and won, allowing him to take the lead of the Urge 1001 overall classification. The podium was completed by Alexandre Cure and Remy Quillévéré. Maxime Folco and Matthieu Gallean (Manager of Team Lapierre Gravity Republic) ended respectively in 6th and 7th places.
In the e-bike category, Lapierre’s young rider Adrien Dailly won ahead of Julien Poomans and Cyril Pages
